September 2011 - Issue #006-009

Issue #009

James "Jimmy" Stewart is my favorite actor of all time and I'm proud to feature a review of one of his finest this week, Winchester '73. The once mighty Western is at the top of it's game here and we'll tell you why below. On a more epic scale is our "Pick of the Week", Ben-Hur, in one of the most ultimate editions ever released. Rightfully so too since Ben-Hur is one of the reasons cinematic has the meaning that it does. It's almost a whole new genre of movie and is everything we celebrate here at CineWeekly.

Issue #008

I want to start off our eighth issue by thanking everyone for bringing last week's "Special Feature" video to over 200,000 views in it's first week! We're following up with a review of a Ray Harryhausen title for the whole family, a little Audrey for the ladies and all film lovers, a look at the making of a sci-fi classic, and we top it off with the best twist endings in movie history. So jump right in and absorb everything CineWeekly has to offer. We'll be back next week to try and outdo ourselves yet again.

Issue #007

Due to the popularity of this week's "Special Feature" video, we posted the column a couple of days in advance. At the time of this writing we're at more than 70,000 views and growing! But don't underestimate the rest of our articles. We're featuring extra rare behind-the-scenes pictures from 'To Kill a Mockingbird' with the elusive Harper Lee on set. The controversy of the Star Wars Blu-ray is again discussed in the "DVD / Blu Review" and all that's not even mentioning our excellent movie review.

Issue #006

Not only do we treat you to some sword & sorcery, but also some Braveheart and mystery. The 1980's produced one of my favorite genres and John Holliday reviews one of it's best, The Beastmaster. As always, there's a decent variety of new releases this week as well as a recommendation through Netflix. Christian Fannin presents his first ever "Netflix Queue-riosities" with a 13-part mini-series that will keep you on edge despite a cast of mostly unknowns.
