Maybe this won't make you bat an eye but that's you're own uninteresting fault. This column is about what I find fascinating and I am currently amazed to find that Mel Gibson was only 22 years old when he filmed Mad Max. What did you do at 22? Unless you're Orson Welles, probably nothing near as cool. As a matter of fact you'll more than likely never do anything as bad as being Mad Max Rockatansky.

Mel Gibson was born on January 3, 1956 and filming ran from December '78 to February '79… Ain't he handsome? Looks a little like a young Jake Gyllenhaal. Anyway, Mr. Rockatansky was a husband and dad to a toddler, a nightmare for any pre-apocalyptic 22 year old.

So what's the point? Well, Mel Gibson looked like a tough dude even at a young age. All men did back then. Now, here's what our leading male actors look like at 22 years old. Thanks a lot Hollywood. Pansies:
